Welcome to Brougham Street Community Nursery School. We are a Local Authority Maintained Nursery School and Childcare located in the heart of Skipton, Gateway to the Dales. We are unique in Skipton as we are not a 'for profit business' as we are maintained by North Yorkshire County Council and combine the benefits of Early Years Education with the flexibility of wrap-around childcare. We are a standalone nursery, and as such not affiliated with any particular primary school. In recent years we have supported children as they have made their transitions into schools in Clitheroe, Keighley, Connonley, Silsden, as well as in Skipton and its wider community.

We cater for children aged 3 months to 4 years old and have high expectations for all of our children and firmly believe that these first years of life are the most important, and are where children gain their thirst and enthusiasm for learning.

Brougham Street Nursery School offers funded places for 2 year olds, and both the 15 and 30 funded hours for 3 and 4 year olds. Please visit our Admissions page for more information.
